I am creating this post in hopes of saving others who may search for info on the Amazon seller AMTECH. This seller is fraudulently selling refurbished hardware as if it was new hardware. When contacted about the issue they claimed the hardware was in fact new and did not offer to replace it until I had contacted the manufacturer and received proof. The seller then offered to replace the hardware with new units in exchange for my removal of my negative feed back. The new units never showed up so I gave up and requested a refund, the seller then claimed the order was outside of the return window and refused to accept a return. Amazon eventually forced the seller to accept the return, at which point they decided to refuse to pay return shipping. At this point I am unable to create any feedback as the seller had tricked me into removing the negative feedback in exchange for an empty promise. Browsing through this seller's feedback shows a few other people who noticed that the new hardware sold to them was in fact refurbished. Hopefully this post helps a few people from being scammed by this seller.
Lawsuit
Did you consider filing a class action lawsuit against amtech and Amazon? I just order an item from amtech via Amazon. The order says the condition is new. If I find out its not really new I may file a lawsuit for fraud. The Amazon website says that new is supposed to mean unopened in the original factory sealed box. So if its not new and they said it is, you should take action.
